Alexandre Lacazette scored his first Arsenal goal, but one thing irritated the fans

Some things never change. Some things never change.

Arsenal’s record signing Alexandre Lacazette has already started repaying his near-£50 million fee with a goal against Sydney in pre-season.

The forward joined Arsenal from Lyon earlier in the summer, and didn’t waste any time impressing the fans after coming off the bench to score in the 2-0 win.

That goal will be music to the ears of Arsenal fans – in fact, Lacazette was pretty happy with it himself.

And he wasn’t the only one admiring the goal – Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann seemed impressed too.

However, while Arsenal fans will be hoping those goals continue when the season gets under way, they weren’t keen on apparently seeing their new forward played on the wing, rather than up front.

Still, he scored from a striker’s position, and that’s not all – Per Mertesacker notched the opener with some sort of overhead kick that surely nobody saw coming.

Who wouldn’t like to see Per up front for Arsene Wenger’s side?
