The summer solstice is here and people across the country are getting into the party spirit.

Shortly before sunrise, a crowd gathered in the viewing gallery in London’s Shard skyscraper – the UK’s tallest building.

Attendees chanted and played musical instruments as the sun rose over the London skyline, heralding the longest day of the year.

But in case our closest star’s heavenly beauty wasn’t enough, the solstice enthusiasts were also treated to a pumping dance floor.

You have to admit, the view from the top is quite something.
