After finishing 14th in the Premier League, Crystal Palace fans could do with a victory to celebrate and, courtesy of the club’s social media account, they’ve got one.

After the 2017 General Election resulted in the Conservatives falling short of a majority, Prime Minister Theresa May made her way to Buckingham Palace for an audience with the Queen.

So Laura Kuenssberg, political editor at the BBC, announced as much.

Nothing out of the ordinary there – but that’s when Crystal Palace got involved, with many retweets the result.
