Most people turn up to their local community centre on election day, submit their vote and go on with their day with minimum excitement. However, some people had a bit more of a dramatic experience.
Okay, “dramatic” might be overegging it ever so slightly, but some lucky people turned up to polling stations that were a little jazzier than the norm.
Here are some of the more exciting polling stations people have been visiting today.

This church in Edinburgh has two distinct signs – one to go vote and another to go pray.
This pretty delightful private house in Hampshire (complete with a horse).
This launderette in Oxford.
This boxing gym in Liverpool.
So hopefully some voters managed to get some other errands done at the same time as doing their civic duty, whether it’s washing their clothes or doing a workout.
