This footballing nun and policeman combination is the gift that keeps on giving

The good people of Limerick were treated to a fine display of footballing skill last week – by a local nun and policeman.

Cork, Kerry and Limerick’s Garda Siochana (police force) posted this superb video of the pair having a keepie-uppie competition during Our Lady of Limerick Triduum and festival on May 25-May 27.

One Facebook user commented: “Lovely to see two representatives from much maligned walks of life showing their humanity”, and another declared that there are clearly “lots of talented people in the Dominic Street area of Limerick!”

The post has now received over 110 thousand views, but the Garda said the inconclusive battle means a rematch might be on the cards soon.

Let’s hope they film it again.
