Jeremy Corbyn took part in a live webchat with Mumsnet – but left some users disappointed in his performance.

The Labour leader was online for around 25 minutes which meant he didn’t get through a fraction of the hundreds of questions that had been submitted.

Some parents were left feeling pretty miffed after the brief event, with several calling it “pointless” and “unimpressive” and accusing him of picking “the fluffy ‘mummy’” questions.

These are five of the questions that did get an answer in the webchat.

DuncanDonut wrote: “Wow. That was…. unimpressive” while Bubbleyfin wrote: “Well that was pointless”. Charmageddon added: “Lots of good questions from MNers & you mostly picked the fluffy ‘mummy’ ones. Very disappointed in you.”

Others thought he performed well, though, with SunEgg saying: “The questions he answered, he answered very well, so well done to him. He obviously didn’t have time to answer most of the questions, but then neither do other guests that come on to this live chat.”

Corbyn headed to Mumsnet after enduring a tough interview with Emma Barnett on BBC Woman’s Hour where he struggled to give a figure for Labour’s childcare costing plans.
