Jeremy Corbyn's football policies and skills with the ball are both dividing opinion

Jeremy Corbyn has used today, the day of the FA Cup final, to commit to developing a “flexible football ticket” to help fans travel to matches which are moved for TV coverage with minimum disruption.

The Labour leader launched the pledge on a visit to Hackney Marshes football pitches, before travelling to Wembley to watch his team Arsenal take on Chelsea later this afternoon.

Corbyn said that Labour’s plans for the sport “will ensure the footballing talent of young girls and boys is harnessed, and football is a game for the many, not the few”.

Many people are loving Corbyn’s policies for the beautiful game.

The Arsenal fan played a spot of football with some kids, which has warmed the hearts of some people.

However, not everyone is so enamoured with the Labour leader’s football skills – some thinking he really needs to brush up on his technique.

There was a *slightly* awkward moment when a kid managed to get a goal past Corbyn.

And there are those who just aren’t convinced by the policies Corbyn was highlighting either.

Well, it makes sense. Politics, just like football, can often spark great debate amongst people.
