The Conservatives received the good news that no criminal charges would be brought in relation to their spending on the 2015 General Election campaign.
Despite the fact the spending returns submitted by some of the party’s candidates and officials may very well have been inaccurate, the Crown Prosecution Service said there was insufficient evidence to prove they were intentionally dishonest.
Who’s had a bad day?
Labour has given the biggest hint of plans to reform the education policy, but shadow education secretary Angela Rayner seemed to struggle when questioned about how many children the party’s proposed policy would help.
Rayner was asked four times by LBC presenter Nick Ferrari, and though failing to come up with the figures, responded “a significant number”.
This left Ferrari to pull up a number himself, which Rayner later claimed was inaccurate.

With 29 days to go until the election, the daily poll of polls has seen the Conservatives drop 1% to 46%, while Ukip has gained 1% at 7%. Labour, Lib Dems and Greens remain at the same position.Election antidote

A campaign has been launched encouraging Britons to register to vote in the General Election in exchange for a free pint.
Twenty-four pubs across the country are supporting the initiative offering a tempting incentive to head to the polling stations on June 8.
