Tendulkar was born in Mumbai and spent his whole domestic career playing there, so it was only fitting that the team and crowd at the Wankhede Stadium celebrated his 44th birthday as the Indians took on the Rising Pune Supergiant in the IPL.Fair play to the crowd as well, who mostly seemed to sing “Sachin” during the crucial third line of the song – always a tricky moment.Tendulkar scored 100 international centuries, and finished with a Test average of 53.78 at the crease after a career spanning four decades.
