A new multi-million pound rollercoaster coming to Blackpool Pleasure Beach will allow riders to experience the same acceleration as that felt by a Formula One driver.
The £16.25 million ride, the first double-launch rollercoaster in the country, will not only propel riders at the beginning of the journey but at a second midway point too.
Icon will weave through 15 of the other rides at the theme park during its two-and-a-half-minute route.
Work on the new ride, which is to be up and running by spring 2018, started in December.
