Watch: Let this newborn orangutan from Twycross Zoo distract you from the stresses of life

Twycross Zoo has welcomed the birth of a Bornean orangutan.

As well as helping conserve a critically endangered species, the newborn’s a little beauty. Take a look.

Seriously. Eyes that could look into your soul.

The little one is the third offspring of father Batu and mother Maliku and is the first great ape to be born at the zoo this year.

Born on March 27, the tiny orangutan is still incredibly young. The zoo says the little one will stay with their mother until they are around seven years old.

Then, he or she will be relocated to other zoos as part of the European Endangered Species Program – to find mates, conserve the orangutan population and help preserve the genetic diversity of the species.
