One winemaker in Cuba has incorporated a rather unusual item into the fermentation process for his homemade wine – condoms.

And get this: he also uses them for “protecting” (ha) the fruit from the harsh economic environment.

Not a joke, not a late April Fool’s. This really happens.

Orestes Estevez makes a little hole in the top of the condom and eventually it begins to rise, “just like a guy” he says.
