A mischievous toddler crawled into a notoriously difficult toy claw machine to grab himself two prizes.

However Jamie Bracken-Murphy, from Nenagh, Tipperary, found himself trapped in the machine for 10 minutes at the Jump ‘n’ Gyms play centre.

The three-year-old’s dad Damien Murphy said he’d been sitting with his other young son when he heard “muffled complaints” behind him.

He said: “I turned around and just see Jamie’s face looking out from behind the glass.

“I wasn’t surprised at all really. He’s a very mischievous, sharp kid who’s always pushing boundaries.

“He was inside for about 10 minutes and was worried for maybe 10 seconds at the start but then he just found it hilarious.”

An off-duty fireman rescued Jamie from the toy machine, instructing him to crouch down and then shimmy out of the flap.

Jump ‘n’ Gyms, which is closed on Tuesdays according to its website, was not immediately available for comment.
