After Southampton’s goalless first half at White Hart Lane, they seemed pretty determined to make a comeback.

While James Ward-Prowse did manage to find the back of the net, it just wasn’t the Saints’ day, with the match ending 2-1 to Tottenham.
There was one Tottenham player who most definitely did have a good day on the pitch, though.

In the 14th minute, Christian Eriksen delivered a rare moment of precision, drifting onto Mousa Dembele’s pass before bending a left-footed shot hard, low and into the bottom right-hand corner.
Turns out scoring against Southampton has been a bit of a thing for Eriksen lately.

Southampton give Eriksen wayyyy too much space just outside the box. You can't do that, b/c he'll place it into the corner just like that!

It would seem Eriksen’s got himself some admirers on Twitter thanks to his recent form.
Christian Eriksen is very underrated, rare to find a player of his quality who guarantees double figures in goals and assists.#THFC #COYS

When Eriksen is on form, everything ticks all around the pitch. Genius.

With Dele Alli now scoring four goals in four games and Eriksen three in five, the game proved there is life after Harry Kane for Tottenham.
Cracking goal from Eriksen. Plenty of goals in this Spurs side even without Kane.
