The professor in that hilarious interview his children gatecrashed has responded - and he's absolutely mortified

Remember that video of the professor giving a serious interview about South Korea when his two kids barged into the room?

Of course you do, it was one of the funniest things that hit the internet for ages.

Now dad of the hour Professor Robert E Kelly, from the department of political science at South Korea’s Pusan National University, has spoken to the BBC (again) and said: “We were worried actually that the BBC would never call us again.“That was actually our first response, mortification that we had just sort of completely blown our relationship with you.”

Kelly’s wife Jung-a Kim, whose mad dash into the room was nothing short of heroic, said they “laughed a lot” afterwards.

Kelly also took the opportunity to put speculation to bed that he was conducting the interview trouserless, after it was suggested that he didn’t get up to move the children away himself because he didn’t have any on. Good to know.

So how did it all happen?! Well Kelly told the Wall Street Journal in a separate interview that the door wasn’t locked and four-year-old Marion, who happened to have been to a school party that day, was “in a hippity-hoppity mood”.
