Did Scotland just have the most shocking conversion attempt ever?
It all went a bit wrong for Scotland today against France…but especially for Finn Russell.
During their Six Nations clash at the Stade de France, he stepped up to take a conversion kick and to be honest, there are no words for what happened next.
Quite the shocker, isn’t it? It was the simplest of conversions, but Russell blasted the ball under the bar as it appeared to move slightly off the tee.
And it’s fair to say the fail didn’t go unnoticed on Twitter.
Some people were just brutal with their criticism…
But it was a fairly close game, as two Camille Lopez penalties in the final 10 minutes proved the difference and France ran out 22-16 victors. And it seemed people couldn’t help thinking that conversion could have made all the difference…
Yep, sorry Russell, but it may take a while to live that one down.
