A Chicago local took things into their own hands when they stumbled across anti-Semitic graffiti scrawled in their city.

The Reddit user, known by 2totwo, shared a photo of a swastika that had been drawn on a pillar, spotted while on their way to watch the Super Bowl.

Refusing to leave the hateful graffiti on display, they painted over it before heading to their friend’s.

The good Samaritan, who says they’ve also signed up to a volunteer program to help Syrian refugees in the area, said it was not the first swastika spotted in Chicago.

“I was walking to a friend’s to watch the game last night and saw a swastika, a bunch went up Chicago this weekend too, so, inspired by those NY subway folks, I took care of it,” they wrote. Gregory Locke – I got on the subway in Manhattan tonight… | Facebook

Last week, New Yorker Gregory Locke spotted anti-Semitic graffiti scrawled over the walls of a train in Manhattan. Together with other passengers in the carriage, he scrubbed away using hand sanitiser and tissues to remove the graffiti.
