Several Greenpeace protesters climbed a huge crane behind the White House to unveil a very public protest against President Donald Trump.

The small group of activists unfurled an orange and black 70 ft banner reading “Resist” on Wednesday.

It created a striking image of defiance on what is just the fifth day of the new administration.Hours after Trump was inaugurated, a raft of climate change information on the White House website was taken off and moved to an online archive.

President Trump then pushed through big plans for two oil pipelines, said he will scrap Obama’s climate action plan and indicated he wants to embrace shale oil and gas.His Republican administration is heavily sceptical on global warming and climate change – something Trump himself has suggested is a “Chinese hoax”.The activists took some great shots of themselves at the top of the structure with messages of defiance.
