Bernie Sanders turned up to Donald Trump's inauguration in a practical raincoat and it just looks so comfy
Bernie Sanders, king of the liberal internet’s heart, rolled up to Donald Trump’s inauguration wearing what can only be described as an incredibly practical geography teacher jacket.
The senator arrived with John McCain, who was dressed in a suitably formal long overcoat.
Bernie on the other hand, was dressed for the weather. The forecast for Washington is rain, and most of the inauguration takes place outside.
It just looks so warm. It has a hood.
We bet it has loads of pockets for snacks and tissues, and presumably his really old flip phone.
With all eyes on the inauguration, Twitter users noticed his odd choice.
Whatever your opinion on the wannabe Democrat nominee, he was certainly being true to himself with the on-brand look.
The inauguration is sure to be an uncomfortable watch for many politicians, with Hillary Clinton also in attendance.
Sanders is a vocal critic of the 45th president, and earlier this month printed one of Trump’s infamous tweets on a giant board and took it to the senate.
You keep doing you, Bernie.
