Jeremy Corbyn unleashed a belter of a pun at PMQs, calling Theresa May, who’s often compared to the original iron lady Margaret Thatcher, ‘The Irony Lady’.
Here’s a round-up of the best bits of PMQs.
“It’s not so much ‘The Iron Lady’, as ‘The Irony Lady,’” he said, making a point about Mrs May choosing to deliver her major speech about Brexit at a press conference rather than to Parliament, despite seemingly wanting to restore Parliament’s power from the EU.
Even his own front bench looked pained.
The joke was discussed at length on Twitter.
"Not so much the Iron Lady, more the Irony Lady" Taxi for Corbyn's joke writer!#PMQs

He also accused the PM of snubbing the parliamentary Brexit committee’s recommendations to bring forward a white paper on the issue.Theresa May was also scored high on the sass-o-meter. Talk of Brexit and the single market dominated proceedings, with the PM telling the house: “I’ve got a plan, [Corbyn] doesn’t have a clue”.
