In a move that seems to have annoyed Twitter and journalists in equal measure, The Times got Michael Gove to interview president-elect Donald Trump.
As well as discussing Britain’s place within America’s heart, the interview produced an meme-worthy photo, which is making the rounds online.
Donald Trump and Michael Gove.
One of the most revolting images I have seen in a long, long time. pic.twitter.com/PwGgt95Dll

The photo spawned some hilarious copy-cats…

Unfortunately, this particular train of mickey-taking and despair doesn’t look like it’s pulling into a station for a while, so we may as well embrace the journey. This person is seeking the answer to the question on everyone’s lips.
What will happen when Gove with his weird hands shakes Trump's tiny baby hands? pic.twitter.com/v0ImdqNr7N

While others are looking at how the interview may go down in history… if we all live past 2017.
I can see that photograph of Trump and Gove being used in history classes to explain the context of World War 3.

Just two more horsemen and we've got ourselves an apocalypse party. Whatever shall I wear… #Gove #Trump

Oh vomit. Did I really hear Trump and Gove in the same interview? Amongst the worlds most despised men. I can't take any more. Just awful.

Twitter users had some pretty damning things to say about the pair.
If ever there was any doubt, Gove's interview with Trump proves that whatever else he is, he's not a journalist.

"I'm no expert on trade negotiations," says Michael Gove before confidently predicting we'll get a good deal from Trump.

How badly must a person's life have gone for them to see a Michael Gove interview of Donald Trump & think "Those guys make sense"

Stay tuned, folks, we’re pretty sure this one isn’t over.
