Theresa May’s clothing choices or style are (for better or for worse) never too far away from the headlines.
But in April, they’ll be plastered all over the front page when she is featured on the cover of glossy fashion magazine American Vogue.
She’ll be the first British Prime Minister to appear on the mag’s cover after having a secret shoot with renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.
It’s understood the shoot took place way before Donald Trump’s victory in the election, and Downing Street has denied that the feature is connected to her impending visit to the US to meet him.
A No 10 spokesman said: “The long-planned shoot for US Vogue will come out in April.”
Some people weren’t really sure why she’s been featured.
WHY is @theresa_may on the cover of US Vogue, exactly? To be an ambassador for British style (fail)? To sell her in to Americans? Confused pic.twitter.com/s9NcGCohqK

Can someone explain to me why Theresa May is on the cover of US Vogue?

Though others were pretty impressed.

And someone even managed to turn it into a sly dig at Jeremy Corbyn.
When you hear Theresa May's going to be on the cover of American Vogue and you know you'll never be PM and have to suffer the same indignity pic.twitter.com/K9FmVEAVvp

But what will she be wearing? Surely not those leather trousers …
