Buckle up, because Taco Bell are rolling out a shell made entirely of fried chicken
New year, new crazy food trends … or however the phrase goes. The most 2017 culinary delight we’ve heard so far comes courtesy of Taco Bell (and where else?).
After what we can only imagine was rigorous testing it’s cracked what fried chicken fans really want, and it turns out that it’s more fried chicken.
And so the fried chicken taco shell was born.
Taco Bell says the shell of the Naked Chicken Chalupa is made up of all-white seasoned chicken. The rest of the taco is packed with lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and avocado ranch sauce.
The fast food chain says the taco tested well in markets in Bakersfield, California, and Kansas City, Missouri over the past two years.
And many people just cannot wait to get their hands on the taco.
Some really started waxing lyrical about it.
Other people are less convinced, but hey – don’t knock it until you try it.
Taco Bell is no stranger to, ahem, innovative creations – just think of its Cheetos quesadilla or the Doritos taco.
This particularly fried chicken celebration will be available from January 26 across the US – good news for American chicken-lovers, heartbreaking for everyone else.
