With eight out of 11 London Underground lines running a limited service – thanks to a 24-hour strike by underground workers – we were expecting to see some crazy scenes during people’s commutes as they were forced to re-plan their usual routes.
But this crazy? Err, maybe not.
A lot of people have just given up on getting on a bus and have taken to walking.
So, yeah, it’s probably not fun to be anywhere in London during a Tube strike.
But Liverpool Street and Clapham Junction seem to be particularly nightmarish.
Clapham Junction is absolutely ludicrous. At a standstill since 8am. Gates locked. Hope you're happy @TfL @RMTunion #TubeStrike pic.twitter.com/CBNrQIobSt

This is what outside Liverpool Street Station looks like. It's the same at most bus stops #TubeStrike @PA pic.twitter.com/AGqiaNEQ16

Scenes from Liverpool Street. Good to see they've opened barriers to help deal with the volume of people on rammed trains. Oh…#TubeStrike pic.twitter.com/DtWyix5Oqu

Clapham junction was mayhem at 7.30am this morning, not surprised it's been evacuated due to overcrowding! Is it Friday yet? #TubeStrike pic.twitter.com/fX8Mvctg2x

People have been giving a very good idea of what it was like battling to get into work.
When you get through the 200 ppl queue, turn the corner and find the other 200 people #TubeStrike #liverpoolstreet #busstopqueues pic.twitter.com/QVAmJkkB7D

Clapham Junction is a very similar scene to when the Titanic is sinking & they're trying to get everyone onto the lifeboats #TubeStrike #TfL
