WE swear the same thing happens every year but we never learn, and here we find ourselves again. Yes, Creme Eggs are now available in shops, even though it’s January and Easter isn’t for ages.

Forget Brexit: this really is the issue that divides the nation. Is it a good thing that we can enjoy the chocolatey goodness in January, or is it just too darn early?

Some people are loving it – hey, the start of the year is a grim time, and many will grasp at happiness wherever they can.

Some are even so bold as to suggest that Creme Eggs shouldn’t be seasonal.

Others have a love-hate relationship with Creme Eggs: happy they’re back, but sad that they’ve now eaten a few too many.

Whereas purists are outraged – it’s just to early!

And then some people are opting to exclude themselves from this Creme Eggs narrative entirely.

The debate rages on – we’ll meet you same time, same place next year.
