BBC Northern Ireland is screening three Christmas TV specials a little earlier than planned.

The three shows are Revolting Rhymes, an animated children’s favourite based on the book by Roald Dahl; Ethel & Ernest, a heart-warming animated story based on the novel by Raymond Briggs novel and the Christmas special of Call the Midwife.

Revolting Rhymes is in two parts and both 30-minute episodes will be shown on Monday December 12 and Tuesday December 20. 

Ethel & Ernest will be screened on Tuesday December 13 and last for 100 minutes while the Call The Midwife Christmas special will be screened on Thursday December 15 and last 75 minutes.

To apply for free tickets please visit bbc.co.uk/showsandtours. The tickets will be restricted to four per applicant and will be allocated via a random draw. Applications close at 11pm on Wednesday December 7.
