EAMONN Holmes tweeted a photograph from his younger days and people thought he looked like Poldark.
The Belfast broadcaster stepped down from presenting Sky News Sunrise last week after fronting the early morning show for 11 years.
He joked on Twitter that not having to prepare for a 6am start has helped him catch up on beauty sleep.
Even with just 3 days lie in from @SkyNews I'm beginning to see the difference in my looks.....

The tweet prompted a flood of cheeky compliments from followers, who compared the 56-year-old to 70s heartthrob Donny Osmond, Argentinean footballing legend Mauricio Pochettino, and even Elvis Presley. One imaginative wag propsed him as the next Bond.
@EamonnHolmes @SkyNews @skysarahjane @jonathansamuels Ross Poldark eat your heart out

Eamonn’s replacement on Sky News Sunrise, Sarah-Jane Mee, joked that the mean and moody look meant her predecessor could make a career out of it.
@EamonnHolmes @SkyNews @jonathansamuels when did you have time to be a catalogue model???

However, Mark Cox burst his bubble with a mischievous tweet.
@EamonnHolmes Sorry @EamonnHolmes but waking up to @skysarahjane is much easier on the eye

Eamonn’s early mornings are not over entirely however, as he continues to front ITV’s This Morning on Friday’s alongside wife Ruth Langsford.
