It's a cat's life apparently

If you call a programme Pussy Galore, you are thinking sex kittens, aren’t you? But subtract the sex.

In this tongue-in-cheek meander through the internet world of cats, comedian Susan Calman said she felt so grateful to live in the 21st century because it means everyone can spend their time researching important things like cute cats.

The British public share nearly four million cat related photos and videos every day, Calman found out.

Apparently dog videos don’t do it ... a cat video expert said dogs try too hard. Put a dog in a box and it’s a dog in a box, but put a cat in a box... Yes, I was lost there too.

There are cats that sing and play pianos, there is even an internet cat that has made £64m.

A woman is completing a PhD on why cats are so popular to watch... apparently there is “a cute response” – we react like the cat is a baby – it’s in our hardwiring. Just google Lil Bub or Grumpy Cat.

Taylor Swift’s cat is apparently famous too. How many people get this cat obsession?

Not me, although this was an intriguing listen. But then again, go and find the video of the two cats playing patty cake in French ... magical.

I wonder about Sean from Armagh, with the one earring, who apparently had a one night stand in Dublin some years ago.

Ryan Tubridy read out an anonymous letter during the week from a woman who wanted Sean to know he now has an 11 year old son who is “brilliant”.

Sean from Armagh might just have to go and google a few cute cat videos to calm himself down.
