BRITISH sports car manufacturer Morgan, which somehow manages to be antediluvian and modern at the same time, has revised its Plus Four and Plus Six models, says William Scholes.
The ye olde worlde styling remains - that's one of the charm of these cars - and Morgan has instead focused on things like a new hood, more comfortable seats and an optional, rorty 'active' sports exhaust.
There's even a USB socket now, on top of the Bluetooth capability that was already there - very 21st century.
The Plus Four and Plus Six get BMW engines these days and a bonded aluminium platform - modern stuff, indeed.
A Plus Four costs from £65k, with the Plus Six starting about £20k more; as ever with a bespoke, hand-built car, the opportunities for personalisation - and spending a lot more - are boundless.
These are lovely, characterful cars, which offer a real sense of occasion and are far quicker - and even more fun - than you might expect.
