HERE at Drive, we rather like the Ford Ranger pick-up. If you like the Ranger too and fancy one that looks sporty - a bit of a contradiction when it comes to pick-ups, but we'll gloss over that... - you might be interested in this.
It's called the 'Ranger MS-RT', with MS-RT being an operation linked to the outfit that runs Ford's rally programme which aims to give its trucks and vans a sportier look.
Based on the posh Wildtrak trim level, the MS-RT gets a 'hand-built' front end with a honeycomb carbonfibre-effect grille.
There are integrated fog lights, extended wheel arches, new side skirts and 20-inch alloy wheels.
There are three paint choices - white, grey and black.
Inside, there is leather upholstery with orange stitching, ambient lighting, heated front seats and MS-RT floor mats. The infotainment system uses an eight-inch touchscreen with Ford's Sync 3 tech.
The engine is the same highly effective 2.0-litre diesel found in other Rangers.
It makes 210bhp and 369lb ft of torque, with a towing weight of 3,500kg. It has four-wheel-drive and shares its 10-speed automatic gearbox with the Ford Mustang.
