WE need no excuse here in Drive to print a Ferrari picture or two, so here is news that one of the iconic sports car marque's most exclusive models will be in Belfast this summer.

The LaFerrari Aperta - an open-top version of its LaFerrari hybrid supercar - will be in the city as part of the Ferrari seventieth anniversary celebrations.

To mark the birthday, Ferrari is bringing the LaFerrari Aperta to each of its UK dealers during the summer after its headlining turn at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from June 29 to July 2.

It means Charles Hurst Ferrari, the only official Ferrari dealer in Ireland, is scheduled to host the LaFerrari Aperta on August 12.

Ferrari says the car will be at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra between 2.30pm and 4pm, before it goes to the Titanic Slipways from 4.30pm to 5pm. Rush hour traffic permitting, the LaFerrari Aperta is scheduled to finish the Northern Ireland leg of its tour at Hillsborough Castle from 5.30pm to 6pm.
