- MOST of us have had a panicked ‘do we have batteries?’ moment at Christmas, especially if you have kids whose toys often aren’t supplied with any. Maplin’s latest special offer solves that problem, with 100 extra-long-life alkaline AAs half price at just £14.99. Search for item N43CY at www.maplin.co.uk or use the quick link http://tinyurl.com/ncxadtt. So unfortunately, your household is guaranteed to be filled with beeps, whirring and other loud noises over the holiday period.

- Consumer website MoneySavingExpert has arranged a great deal on a large 80-page photo book from Bonusprint. These normally cost more than £70 but you can snap one up for just £25. The deal is valid until 11.59pm on January 31 but if you want your order delivered before Christmas the deadline is December 14. For full details and the special link you need, go to www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/free-photo-prints/#bpbook. (Picture for illustration only)

- Get 25 per cent off when you place an order for £20 or more of food (drinks and ice cream are excluded) from www.dominos.co.uk by using the code XMSBLG16 at the checkout stage. It’s valid until 11.59pm on January 3 at partipating branches and is available for delivery or collection. Don’t forget that on a Tuesday you can get two medium or large pizzas for the price of one without any code - and that deal is available for phone orders too.

- Spending £50 or more at The Body Shop? Enter the code 14666 at www.thebodyshop.com to get £25 off and free delivery but be quick - the offer ends at 9am on December 13. Already reduced items are excluded, as are certain full-price products.

- If you haven’t yet bought your Christmas tree, Ikea’s special offer is still on until December 23 (although it will probably sell out sooner). Buy a real tree for £25 and you'll receive a £20 voucher to spend in store between January 16 and February 12 next year.
