:: GOOGLE Play Music has a special offer at the moment which gives new users three months of the streaming service for £1. Find it via the app from the Google Play store. Set a calendar reminder to cancel before the trial ends – otherwise your subscription will continue automatically at £9.99 per month.

:: There’s £30 off this 43in Sharp Freeview HD LED TV at Tesco Direct at the moment, taking the price down to a mere £219. Search for item 714-6584 at www.tesco.com/direct.

:: Consumer website MoneySavingExpert has blagged a discount code that gets new and existing customers cheap personalised photo canvas prints from Picanova until 11.59pm on July 24. A 20in square one (normally £36.99) is just £8.98 including delivery. A 1m by 50cm one is £27.99 instead of the usual £83.89. Get the code and read the full details at www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/picanova#picanova9.

:: Parents of babies and toddlers should take a look at www.amazon.co.uk to see whether its Prime service could save them money on nappies. The subscription (which also grants you access to free TV streaming and next-day delivery on other orders) costs £79 a year, although a free 30-day trial is also available. If you decide not to continue after the trial, remember to cancel before the 30 days are up – otherwise you’ll be billed. Members can combine the ‘Subscribe and Save’ repeat-order scheme with Amazon Family to get 20 per cent off nappies and wipes. Weigh up the discount against the fact that Prime costs just over £6.50 a month.

:: Lavazza Qualita Rossa ground coffee 250g is just over half price at www.tesco.com until July 19. It’s down from £3.25 to £2.

:: Got Microsoft Windows 7 or 8.1? Until July 29 you can upgrade to version 10 for free. Go to Windows Update and follow the prompts. Don’t forget to back up any important data to a USB hard drive first (although you ought to do that regularly anyway).
