TWO Belfast restaurants have become the first venues in Northern Ireland to be awarded Michelin stars since 2010.
Deane’s EIPIC on Howard Street and OX on Oxford Street have both been awarded their first Michelin Star.
Michelin announced on Twitter that 15 restaurants in Britain and Ireland had been awarded a new Michelin star in the 2016 Michelin guide.

The star awarded to Deane's EIPIC means that restauranteur Micheal Deane returns to the Michelin Guide, having previously held a star from 1997 until 2010.
These are the first Michelin stars to be awarded to a Northern Ireland restaurant since Deanes failed to make it into the 2011 guide after a flood caused the restaurant to close for repairs.
