FILM fans can look forward to celebrating the ‘Magic of the Movies’ at a special concert at The Hillsborough International Oyster Festival.

The musical evening on Wednesday August 31 will feature performances from the Belfast Operatic Company and The Leading Ladies and will raise funds for the Festival’s 2016 charity, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The score for the evening will be taken from well-known movie soundtracks, like Beauty and the Beast and Titanic.

Linda Alexander from the Cystic Fibrosis Trust said the concert will be a “great event full of entertainment.”

“We are inviting guests to come along and support our cause to raise resources to support research and clinical care for Cystic Fibrosis sufferers,” she said.

Archie McAvoy from sponsor Lockton Insurance, said the company were thrilled to support the event as they are “big believers in looking after people.”

“The musical evening is great opportunity to connect with the local community and raise awareness of the good work the Cystic Fibrosis Trust will be able to do through its involvement with the Hillsborough International Oyster Festival,” he said.

The Hillsborough International Oyster Festival, now in its 24th year, runs from Tuesday August 30 – Saturday September 3.

Among the Festival’s other events are Supercar Dream Rides, a Gourmet Food market and the World Oyster Eating Championship.
