Pilgrimage to St Mochua's holy well

People are being encouraged to come and experience the "touch of God" as part of a special Year of Mercy pilgrimage.

The pilgrimage to St Mochua's Holy Well in Derrynoose, Co Armagh will take place on September 11 at 3pm.

St Mochua ministered God's healing and compassion by the miracles he worked during his lifetime.

A holy well is located close by the ruins of a church and has been associated with the saint through the centuries to the present day.

It is visited by those with devotion to St Mochua, to bathe in the waters in hope of a cure.

People are asked to arrive at St Mochua's Church at 2.45pm for a 3pm start to proceedings. The Eucharistic procession will make its way to the well, where seating will be available.
