DAY OF PRAYER: Omagh Charismatic Prayer Group is hosting a day of worship, praise, music, Mass, talks and healing on the theme of 'Here I am Lord, I come to do your will' on Sunday October 11 in the Mellon Country Hotel outside Omagh.

ST MALACHY: Armagh Diocesan Historical Society is hosting a talk by Professor Padraig O'Riain on the life of St Malachy of Armagh and on the lives of Irish saints abroad in the O'Fiaich Library, Armagh on Wednesday October 7 at 8pm. All welcome.

WOLF HALL: Hilary Mantel's novel Wolf Hall sparked a revival of interest in the history of the English Reformation, a period occupied by a particularly rich cast of characters including Henry VIII, Thomas Cromwell, Thomas More and John Fisher.

Dr Richard Rex, a reader in Reformation history at the University of Cambridge and a fellow of Queens' College, Cambridge, is an expert in the Reformation and will be giving a lecture in Belfast next month on 'Wolf Hall: Saints John Fisher and Thomas More in fiction and history'.

The lecture will take place on Monday October 26 at 7pm in room OG.GO29, in the Geography Building, of Queen's University on Belfast's Elmwood Avenue. Tea and coffee will be served in the Catholic Chaplaincy beforehand.

MERCY: To celebrate the Year of Mercy announced by Pope Francis and which begins in December, a day of reflection called 'Pope Francis: Who is this Man of Mercy' will be held in Tobar Mhuire Retreat Centre on November 7. MATT TALBOT: The annual Armagh Diocesan Matt Talbot Mass is this Sunday, October 4, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Dublin.

A bus leaves Armagh at 11am, with stops for passengers along the way, including in Keady and Newtownhamilton.
