Belfast repair café has announced its autumn dates.

The café allows people to bring things which are in need of repair, whether that's by using a needle and thread or an electric drill, to get fixed for free.

You can either fix the item yourself using equipment on site or a volunteer will help you.

Things which can be repaired include small electronics, straightforward computer problems, bicycles, toys with broken wheels, torn clothing, missing buttons, broken zips, small items of furniture and other household items.

Repair cafés spread the message that it's better to repair and reuse things that to dump them.

Bring your broken ironing board and ripped coat along to these locations:

  • September 14 - CS Lewis Square on Newtownards Road in east Belfast in partnership with Connswater Greenway
  • October 12 - Culturlann on Falls Road in west Belfast
  • November 16 - City Church on University Avenue in south Belfast in partnership with the Belfast Friendship Club
