Is there anything better than feeling inspired?

These last few weeks, our days have been filled with figures, percentages and warnings.

On top of that, we have been doing what we can to get our time in, from painting the fence to learning a new language online.

However, for the vast majority of people, it is exercise that has been their go-to.

With parks closed, many runners and walkers have taken to footpaths and roads everywhere in a bid to pass the time and stay mentally strong.

However, there is no doubt that many of us are pounding the pavements in a bid to shift the pounds we may have put on courtesy of snacking during the lockdown and don't even start me about all the home baking.

I'm just going to put it out there.

I have not been running or power walking at all - although I should be - but up to now, I've not been inspired to get going.

I go for a walk with the family a few times a week and that's about it.

However, this week, I found all the inspiration I need to exercise courtesy of hit-maker, Adele.

Best known for her phenomenal lungs and a consistent run of top hits, the Hello singer celebrated her 32nd birthday by revealing her new look - after a massive seven stone weight loss.

Barely recognisable, the mother-of-one posed in a little black number to show off her stunning new figure.

Her dramatic transformation is said to be down to a 1000 calories-a-day diet and regular exercise.

Food wise, it was reported that the singer followed the Sirtfood Diet, which involves plant products like turmeric, kale, buckwheat and green tea.

I just couldn't believe it was the same woman when I was looking at the photo however, the actual weight loss was not initially what struck me but the smile on her face, she just looked so happy.

And she deserves to look happy with herself after all, I imagine losing seven stone is no easy job and takes determination by the bucket load.

I'm telling you, I really respect what she has done and what she has achieved and I know I will not be the only person who will be inspired.

So, I guess I'm going to have to start saying no to all those home-made treats Abbie and I keep making and all those lovely scones and cookies that one of my best pals keeps leaving on my doorstep.

Lockdown is about to get a whole lot harder people and a lot less sweeter.

Has anyone else fallen madly in love with Paul Mescal?

I know it officially makes me a cougar but having just binge-watched the entire first series of Normal People, I have a major crush on the 24-year-old Irish actor.

Having debuted last month, the brilliant series tells the story of a complex friendship and relationship between two teenagers, Connell (Paul Mescal) and Marianne (Daisy Edgar Jones), who both attend the same secondary school in Co Sligo and, later, Trinity College, Dublin.

Watching it took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I just loved it.

Someone please tell me there is a second series being considered.

Week nine is just around the corner and to be honest, I am well and truly fed up with the whole thing.

I really do think it's about time Covid-19 went back to where it came from because the thought of spending any of the forthcoming summer in lockdown, apart from family and friends, fills me with despair.

I don't know about you but I have to say I am incredibly proud of my two little ones who have adapted so well to this new, strange way of life and taken it all in their stride.

They are all heroes in my book and no doubt parents everywhere are still trying to find new, fun activities to keep their little ones occupied.

So, how about letting them get creative with the help of a professional illustrator?

Rob Biddulph is a best-selling, award-winning children's book author and illustrator and during the lockdown, he is helping kids everywhere learn from his experience.

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am, the popular author posts a draw-along video on his website that parents can watch with their kids and then make some fab pictures.

The videos are free and fun and narrated brilliantly by the writer.

Go on and give it a go.

Gregosaurus, Fred Bear and Penguin Blue are just some of the colourful characters waiting for you.
