GRAB your wellies, family and friends and get outside and see if you can make the biggest splash and earn the title of Northern Ireland Puddle Champion 2020 at WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre in Comber this February half term.

Along with producing the biggest splash, contestants will also be judged on their enthusiasm and jumping style. Daily winners will be announced throughout the six days of the competition and lucky super-splashers will receive fantastic prizes.

For the first time, adults are being encouraged to release their stress by joining in the puddle-jumping championships. Other muddy activities available throughout the half term holidays including wild welly walks, welly wanging and a welly bootcamp with an obstacle course for visitors to dip, dive and jump their way through.

"Puddles are mini-wetlands which wildlife use to feed, drink and bathe. We know that children who love puddles often grow up to be adults that love the outdoors. Through these championships we’re gently nurturing a love that may help protect wetlands and the wildlife that depend on them for years to come," says Paul Stewart, Centre Manager at WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre.
