Wine of the Week: Duca di Sasseta Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Riserva
Lindeman’s The Discoverer Shiraz Cabernet, Co-op, £7
It’s hard to beat the Lindeman’s brand when it comes to buying a fairly decent wine at a good price. This mix works by by capturing the structure and texture of Cabernet, and overlaying it with the suppleness and generosity of Shiraz – rich fruit notes carry from the nose to the palate where they are greeted by subtle herbaceous touches. A soft and sweetly spiced wine which is slightly creamy on the palate.
Nugan Estate Dreamers Chardonnay, Centra, 2 for £12
