Taste the Difference Cremant de Loire Rose, France (£11, Sainsbury’s)

Valentine's Day is surely the one day to ‘think pink'. Try:

Taste the Difference Cremant de Loire Rose, France (£11, Sainsbury's)

With its very stylish bottle, this is a great pink fizz from Saumur in the Loire Valley, France. Made in the same way as Champagne but from Cabernet Franc grapes, it has a lovely floral flavour, fruity aromas and redcurrant notes. A very pretty pale pink, it has a peachy, creamy, red-fruited character with a fresh, elegant finish.

Graham Beck The Rhona Rose NV, South Africa (£15, Marks & Spencer)

Another great wine that looks the part and merits a silver

medal from the International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2019,

this bubbly blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier hits all the right notes with its pretty salmon hue, beautifully fresh red fruits with hints of strawberry and red cherry, full, round finish and delightful, elegant character.

Les Pionniers Rose Champagne Brut, France (£21.99, The Co-op)

The Co-op's multi-award winning Les Pionniers Brut Champagne has been a favourite for many years, and now we can sing the praises of their pukka pink. Made by Piper-Heidsieck, these brilliant bubbles radiate copper highlights with pristine summer fruit aromas, delicate and vibrant red berry fruits on the palate, with well balanced acidity and a fresh, uplifting finish.
