BELFAST audiences will set sail with the wayfinder Moana as she makes her European debut live on ice in Disney On Ice presents Dream Big.
Courage leads the way for Disney’s most daring heroines, in this brand-new ice skating spectacular. Alongside Moana and demi-god Maui are eight tales of courage and heart, including Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Tangled. Plus, arrive early to celebrate 90-years of Walt Disney’s legend Mickey Mouse.
“I was so excited to hear Moana was coming to this show and I am so happy to be able to portray this role,” says 26-year-old California skater Antonia Mitchell, who will portray the heroine.
“Moana is a great role model for being daring and brave! She overcomes all kinds of adversity and she finds the courage to journey farther than she ever imagined.
Antonia, who begain skating at the age of six, is also enjoying her character getting the upper hand on Frozen’s Queen Elsa.
“In the show you’ll hear the amazing music from the movie. Often I can hear the kids singing along. I love it. All of the stories are sort of condensed version of each movie. In the Moana segment, you can expect to see Maui on the ice. As well as the spirit form of Moana’s grandmother," she adds.
