- ODEON has a few different ways you can watch big-screen films at a small price. Buy insurance from www.comparethemarket.com (a single-trip policy costs as little as £3) and you'll be eligible for two cinema tickets for the price of one every Tuesday and Wednesday. Students get 25 per cent off screenings from Monday to Thursday by showing an NUS card at the box office. Movie-goers aged 55 or over can attend ‘silver cinema’ screenings from £3, which includes tea, coffee and biscuits before the film. Find out more at www.odeon.co.uk/silvercinema/.

- Nectar points collectors can rack up their balance with bonuses in Sainsbury's swipe-and-win promotion between February 2 and 4. Use your card when you spend £10 or more in store, online or on petrol or diesel and you will receive a coupon worth at least 200 points (worth £1 off your next transaction). The biggest prize is 5,000 points (worth £25). You can take part as many times as you like and you can split your grocery shop into several £10 transactions to maximise the points you receive. Some Sainsbury’s filling stations are excluded and some products are ineligible for the qualifying spend. Check for the full terms and conditions at www.sainsburys.co.uk.

- Until April 4, American Express cardholders can get 5 per cent back when booking with P&O Ferries. You must click ‘save to card’ in the offers section of your Amex app or online account first. Until February 28, cardholders can get 5 per cent back at Caffe Nero too. The same method applies. Not all cardholders are always eligible for the same offers so check your account. It’s worth opting in to receive marketing emails about them.
