The supernatural drama adapted from the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon arrives on home formats as four-disc box sets, complete with a behind-the-scenes featurette and gag reel.

West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his no-nonsense ex-girlfriend Tulip (Love/Hate's Ruth Negga) and Irish vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) continue their righteous road trip. The second series ups the emotional ante as Jess, Tulip and Cassidy attempt to restore shattered faiths in New Orleans by locating God, who was revealed to be missing at the end of the first season.

Also, merciless bounty hunter The Saint Of Killers (Graham McTavish) demonstrates his capabilities as he pursues Jesse to the ends of the earth, and the past catches up with bad girl Tulip with calamitous consequences.

THE KILLER (Cert 18, 99 mins, streaming from November 10 exclusively on Netflix, Thriller)

A DESPERATE man with nothing to lose learns how to communicate with the pull of a trigger in a gritty Brazilian western, directed by Marcelo Galvao. At the turn of the 20th century, a bandit called Seven Ears (Deto Montenegro) becomes a surrogate father to an abandoned baby and raises the infant in his own merciless image. Isolated from other residents of the lawless state of Pernambuco, the child grows up to become the feared killer Cabeleira (Diogo Morgado), aka Shaggy.

When Seven Ears does not return home, Shaggy is compelled to abandon his sanctuary for the first time and venture into town where he is confronted by a sadistic Frenchman, Monsieur Blanchard (Etienne Chicot), and his henchmen.

Blanchard used to hire Seven Ears as his assassin and now Shaggy takes his place, doling out rough justice to cruel and callous men as he searches for his mentor.

PETER KAY'S CAR SHARE – Series 2 (Cert 15, 113 mins, BBC DVD, available now on Amazon Video/BBC iPlayer/iTunes and other download and streaming services, available from November 13 on DVD £24.99, Comedy/Drama/Romance)

THE first series of six-part BBC sitcom Peter Kay's Car Share was a roaring success, earning two Baftas for Best Scripted Comedy and Male Performance In A Comedy Programme.

Peter Kay and Sian Gibson reprise their roles as supermarket workmates in the equally delightful second series, which unfolds almost entirely inside a Fiat 500L.

Promotions rep Kayleigh (Gibson) has relocated across town to live with her sister so she no longer needs to travel with assistant manager John (Kay) to work. Thankfully, they are reunited and Kayleigh and John slowly acknowledge their feelings for each other to an omnipresent Forever FM soundtrack, even with drunken store gossip Elsie (Conleth Hill) perched on the back seat after the annual staff party.

SCANDAL – Series 7 (18 episodes, starts streaming from November 15 exclusively on NOW TV, Drama/Thriller/Romance)

POLITICS is a grubby business, even with a woman in the White House, as the award-winning drama created by Shonda Rhimes (Grey's Anatomy) returns to Sky Living, which is available to stream on NOW TV.

President Melody Grant (Bellamy Young) is ploughing ahead with her reforms, aided by Chief of Staff Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington), who is an expert at firefighting potential media exposes. Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) has exploited the death of Luna Vargas to assume the position of Vice President, which provides the perfect vantage point to bring down his enemies and plot a path to the Oval Office.

Meanwhile, former Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III (Tony Goldwyn) asks Olivia to choose him over her cut-throat ambition. It's an agonising decision for the morally flawed heroine.
