NAOMI Campbell, who is too beautiful to look at without first warming up your eyes with a few stretches and a puff of Deep Heat, has been interviewed by The Sunday Times about being Naomi Campbell.

It makes sense really since she is internationally recognised as the leading voice on being Naomi Campbell.

A quick recap of Naomi’s CV to set the scene: discovered at 15, Naomi is the first black woman to appear on the cover of French Vogue and Time magazine and has also graced the covers of British, Italian, Russian and American Vogue.

Wisely she doesn’t like to get up before 8.30am.

“Wherever I am, the first thing I do is say my prayers,” she tells The Sunday Times.

“I then have hot water with lemon, followed by a green juice with fruit such as pineapple and blueberries. Or a green powder juice. I also take zinc, antioxidants and a probiotic – I think it’s important to keep your colon as clean as possible.”

Don’t we all Naomi, don’t we all.

Sleb Safari has it on (not) good authority that Cif works wonders too or, if you prefer a more natural approach, white wine vinegar.

Naomi is very particular about what she eats.

“If I’m working, I don’t stop for lunch, it slows everyone down.”

That’s rather the point though.

Naomi does, however, carry snacks with her. Not Snack the gorgeous biscuity squares in a yellow packet with purple logo but “apricots, red raisins, almonds, walnuts and crispy seaweed”.

Steady on love, you’re going to put Gwyneth’s nose out of joint.

She does on occasion go wild and crazy.

“I might even have a packet of salt-and-vinegar crisps or a Galaxy Ripple — I love those big value bars of Galaxy you get at the airport," she says, giving away that she has never once set foot in a supermarket.

But if she absolutely must "do a lunch... maybe I’ll have a piece of sole.”

Honestly, that could be fish or it could be the bottom of a Louboutin. Sleb Safari wouldn’t hazard a guess.

And just to be clear she does eat red meat “but no chicken”.

“And no coffee – it’s ginger or green tea.”

Naomi travels with her work and has been known to spend chunks of time in Russia and the US.

“I’ve been on the road a lot this year, so I don’t want to say where my homes are because I’ve had so many security problems.”

Naomi you are so right, you should never divulge where your homes are. Let Amazon guess where it has to deliver that package to.

Wait, she's on a roll, there's more to come: “Also I’ll leave to go to one country, then find myself going to four instead, so I can be away a long time.”

Who is watering this woman’s plants? What lovely neighbours.

On a day off Naomi schedules routine appointments such as the dentist and loves to catch a Pilates class, but not necessarily one in the church hall round the corner from her house.

“Last year I did a Transcendental Meditation course at the David Lynch centre in New York. A great guy, Bob Roth, taught me things like how to cut the mind off.”

You see, she might be one of the original supermodels and been so close to Nelson Mandela that he called her his honourary granddaughter but really, underneath it all, she's just like the rest of us, snacking on crispy seaweed and worried about our colons.

Competition Time: Win afternoon tea for two at Berts Jazz Bar

Berts Jazz Bar in the Merchant Hotel in Belfast has changed up the way it serves afternoon tea. Sweet treats have been replaced with savoury nibbles including seasonal treats such as tomato gazpacho, Croque Madame muffins, beetroot and goats’ cheese macarons, Scotch quail egg and mini pork en croute.

The more traditional minded can rest easy because Berts will continue to serve gourmet sandwiches, petit fours and a glass of prosecco or a selection of tea or coffee with their afternoon tea.

Derek Acorah being tipped to enter Celebrity Big Brother

GOOD news CBB fans, Celebrity Psychic Derek Acorah could be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house for what is being billed as CBB: Summer of Legends.

No doubt Derek predicted this years ago. He probably got a message from his Ethiopian spirit guide Sam.

Sleb Safari is a huge fan of spirit botherer Derek and, by extension, Sam.

When Sleb Safari is in a stressful situation, palms sweaty, knees weak, arms heavy, it always asks itself WWDD – What would Derek do? – and the answer is whispered in its ear.

The voice could be that of Derek or it could be Sam but either way the advice is always the same: “Wing it”.
