AS resilient trend-wise as the fabric itself, denim never really goes out of style, and it's put in a particularly strong showing this season.

On the catwalk, Stella McCartney and Chloe's Clare Waight Keller led the denim revolution, their SS16 collections shot through with the indigo stuff, while a handful of jean-ius brands and their celeb fans are making us fall in love with Daisy Dukes and jean jackets all over again.

Whether you like it dark and neat or pale and distressed, take your pick of spring's denim delights...

INTO THE FRAY

Seen on everyone from Beyonce and Taylor Swift to the Hadid sisters, One Teaspoon is the undisputed hottest denim brand on the planet right now.

Specialising in distressed-to-death pieces, the Aussie label has been consistently topping Instagram's most influential denim brands list, ahead of major players like Levi's, and is stocked in the UK by ASOS, Harrods and Selfridges.

Your spring must-buy? The super-sexy frayed Bandit shorts were all over Coachella, so expect a festival invasion over here come summer.

A DECADE OF DENIM

Another firm celeb favourite (Emma Stone and Kate Bosworth are big fans), M.i.h Jeans makes vintage-influenced pieces that are fashion-forward but still easy to wear.

The premium Brit brand celebrates a decade of denim designing this year with the Cult Denim Project, resurrecting 10 bestsellers from their archives, so you can guarantee that investing in a classic loose shirt, pair of cut-offs or A-line skirt will pay off in the long run.
