FOLLOWING the advance sell-out of his show at Dublin's Vicar Street on March 10, Art Garfunkel has announced an extra Irish date in Belfast.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member, who had taken time off to recover from a vocal ailment before returning to the stage last year, has added a show at The Waterfront Hall on September 14 to his touring schedule. "I feel like 26," Garfunkel recently said. "I worked to get the voice back.
I have been singing since I was five; it's my best friend. I'm married to singing and its problems."
He added: "The voice left me and now that it's back, I am so grateful."
Thus, Paul Simon's former foil will be bringing his two-man show with guitarist Tab Laven to Dublin and Belfast.
His live set encompasses his solo hits, Simon and Garfunkel songs, cuts from his favourite songwriters like Jimmy Webb, Randy Newman, AC Jobim and parts of his new book, Note To Self.
* Tickets for Art Garfunkel go on sale Thursday January 29 at 9am from The Waterfront Box Office on 9033 4455, online at Waterfront. co.uk or via all Ticketmaster outlets.
