Box of tricks

BELFAST singer Peter Corry brings his new production of The Music Box to the Waterfront from tonight until Saturday.

The festive family show -- now in its sixth year -- sets out to take audiences on a magical journey through a selection box of music, readings, song and dance. Among the special guests this year are Co Tyrone singer Andrea Begley, who won The Voice UK in 2013, and Ian McElhinney -- as well as school choirs and the Jingle Belles ballet dancers. McElhinney, a star of stage and screen (most recently Game of Thrones and The Fall), will enchant the audience with festive readings and poems. "This is a show that everyone will enjoy," said Corry. "We aim to give the audiences rousing interpretations of traditional festive favourites and modern Christmas classics. I'm delighted with the multi-talented cast and special guests we have assembled." n The Music Box: Home for Christmas runs at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast tonight, tomorrow and Saturday at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.
