Our testers go in search of fragrant tresses with three new hair perfumes

Tried & Tested labelm. Hair Perfume, £19.50 (www.labelm.com)

There's more than a nod to Jo Malone in the sophisticated styling of this product, with its sleek bottle and black ribbon finish, so it would look great on any dressing table. The perfume, however, is really sweet and, although it feels weightless and not sticky like hair spray, it leaves my fine hair feeling a little lank.

Percy & Reed Eau My Goodness Shine & Fragrance Spray, £22 (www.percyandreed.com)

This spray is lovely and light and leaves a nice smell that lasts all day. It doesn't stick to my hair like other hair sprays can and leaves my locks feeling smooth and soft to the touch.

Sachajuan Protective Hair Perfume, £40 (www.urbanretreat.co.uk)

This spray, from trendy Swedish brand Sachajuan, not only offers a lovely floral fragrance, it's also supposed to moisturise and add shine. I can't say my tresses feel softer, and it is pretty pricey, but the scent whenever I swish my hair is heavenly!
